Engaging Storyline of Jujutsu High and Sugisawa Municipal Highschool
Megumi Fushiguro, a student from Tokyo Jujutsu High, embarks on a mission to find a special grade cursed object in Sendai City. Upon arriving at a shed, he finds nothing and contacts his teacher for guidance. Unfortunately, the teacher dismissively tells Megumi not to return home without retrieving the cursed object.
At Sugisawa Municipal Highschool, Yuji Itadori, Setsuko Sasaki, and Takeshi Iguchi spend time in their Occult Research club room. They mock the student council president using an Ouija board, but their fun is abruptly interrupted when the president threatens to disband the club and give their space to the girl's track team.
The Occult Research club becomes a target of the Student Council President's frustration.
In a jesting manner, Yuji threatens to curse the president and points out unusual occurrences surrounding the rugby field. Several rugby players have fallen ill, and the trio suspects a connection to a missing construction worker. However, their senior member informs them that ticks are the actual cause of the sudden illnesses.
Tired of the Occult Research club spreading rumors, the student council president aims to shut it down. Moreover, the club fails to meet the three-member requirement because Yuji already belongs to the track and field team, surprising his fellow members. The track and field coach interrupts and discloses that he tampered with Yuji's club application.
Danger looms over Sugisawa Highschool.
The coach wants to utilize Yuji's extraordinary abilities for the track team, but Yuji declines the offer. In response, the coach challenges him to a game that risks his club membership. Meanwhile, Megumi investigates the rugby field and senses the presence of a grade 2 curse in the area.
A gigantic tick-shaped cursed spirit lurks atop the scoring poles, beyond Megumi's line of sight. He wonders if this is related to the cursed object rumored to be at the school. On the field, the coach challenges Yuji to a shot put game, which Yuji effortlessly wins by throwing the heavy ball thirty meters.
Yuji's grandfather urges him to help others.
While Sasaki and Iguchi advise Yuji not to feel obligated to the Occult Research club, he expresses his fondness for it and acknowledges the club's dependence on him. Megumi observes from a distance as Yuji dashes away with supernatural speed, surprising Megumi with the increased amount of cursed energy he detects.
Yuji visits Sugisawa Hospital to see his grandfather, who refuses to divulge any information about Yuji's parents. In his final moments, Yuji's grandfather encourages him to assist others and create a life surrounded by people. Following a heartfelt goodbye, Yuji encounters Megumi in the hospital lobby.

Megumi discloses that he is a first-year student at Jujutsu High School and asks about a potential cursed object. He explains that a talisman, previously used to seal a curse, has become ineffective, signaling imminent danger. Yuji hands over the requested small box, but its contents are missing. Meanwhile, Sasaki and Iguchi inadvertently discover the true cursed object, a finger belonging to a powerful spirit.
The finger attracts curses towards the two students, prompting Yuji and Megumi to return to the school. As Yuji senses the cursed energy, Megumi warns him to stay back. Megumi enters the school and combats the spirits by summoning his Divine Dogs through the Ten Shadows Technique.

Megumi seemingly reaches Sasaki and Iguchi, but it is too late as they succumb to the curses. Suddenly, Yuji bursts through the window. Despite his fears, Yuji desires to offer everyone a peaceful death, just like his late grandfather, rather than a gruesome fate at the hands of cursed spirits.
Yuji manages to rescue Sasaki, but the curses from earlier crash through the ceiling and attack Megumi. He suffers injuries, causing his shikigami to dissipate. Helpless and defenseless outside, Megumi orders Yuji to flee. However, disregarding the instructions, Yuji attacks the curse bare-handed. Yet, physical assaults have no effect, as curses can only be vanquished by another curse.
To save his friends, Yuji consumes the cursed object.
In his quest to acquire cursed energy, Yuji devours the cursed finger sought after by his assailant. Megumi believes that Yuji will meet an instant demise, but there exists a one in a million chance that the cursed object will manifest within him. Yuji undergoes a transformation, obliterating the curse in front of him. Megumi regards this one in a million chance as the worst-case scenario and recognizes that Ryomen Sukuna has returned.
Sukuna harbors a desire to slaughter all humans. However, Yuji's consciousness fights back to regain control of his body. Observing the struggle, Megumi refuses to take any chances and declares his determination to exorcise the curse named Yuji Itadori immediately.
