Excelling academically and diligently preparing for his high school entrance exams, Yuzaki Nasa has a chance encounter with a young maiden named Tsukasa on a snowy night, and he is instantly smitten. As Nasa crosses the street to approach Tsukasa, he is confronted by an oncoming truck. Fortuitously, Tsukasa sacrifices herself to save him, ensuring his safety while leaving without giving him her name. Haunted by the fear of losing Tsukasa much like Princess Kaguya, Nasa, disregards his injuries to chase after Tsukasa and confesses his feelings. Tsukasa responds by stating "If you'll marry me, then I'll date you". Without hesitation, Nasa agrees and then faints.
Awakening in the hospital, Nasa spends his days recuperating and studying, eventually topping his high school entrance exams after an intensive year of studying. Yet, unable to forget Tsukasa, Nasa foregoes acceptance into school. He moves out of his parents' house in anticipation of reuniting with Tsukasa, immersing himself in various jobs daily. Despite his efforts, he remains unable to locate Tsukasa even after years of searching. However, one evening on the year Nasa turns 18, Tsukasa suddenly appears at his dwelling place, intending to fulfill the promise made on that snowy night. Nasa, albeit bewildered, agrees to marry Tsukasa. The nuptial registration is completed and despite their lack of mutual understanding, as husband and wife, their bond inexorably deepens each day in their shared lives.
