One day, Kohachi Yagami, a second-year junior high student who refuses to attend school, ventures out into the night alone without informing anyone for the first time. As he immerses himself in a world that's strikingly distinct from the daylight, he encounters Nazuna Nanakusa, a vampire. Kohachi yearns to become a vampire, but he must fall in love with Nazuna to fulfill this wish. From then on, Kohachi spends his nights out, keeping company with Nazuna, as they traverse into the depths of the nocturne.
