Exhausted by a grisly, twisted murder investigation that keeps him up late every night, Ren relies on his daily trips to a cozy neighborhood café just to function. There he meets Kono, a warm-hearted worker whose bright smile, gentle demeanor, and perfectly customized coffees quickly become Ren’s only source of comfort. What starts as a silent crush during brief coffee runs slowly blossoms into a genuine romance as the two begin spending time together outside the shop.
While Ren finds peace in Kono's quiet world, his day job grows increasingly horrific. The serial killer leaves dark, calculated clues tailored specifically to stump the police, turning the investigation into a psychological game of cat-and-mouse. As the body count rises and the murderer's motives get more sinister, Ren finds himself fiercely protective of Kono, terrified that the darkness of his work might overflow into his personal life.
