This is the prequel to Just Be Yoursel, a story about Euis and Jenny making friends for the first time. It helps Euis grow up and face things in life, but still she must be herself. Euis comes from an impoverished family in a village. Euis and her family have to work very hard to pay for her school fees in the city. The story of Euis addresses the social reality in Indonesia that child marriage, high birth rate, debt and homelessness are very commonplace among paupers.
The story narrates Euis’s migration from the village to the city, as well as the hardships she goes through in school there. But these hardships temper her character, and transform her into a very strong and determined person, although she also gets the stomachache during that period.
